Do Different Kalimba Styles Affect Sound?

Recently, we have received multiple questions from some of our BOLD customers regarding our different designs. The hole in the center of our kalimba helps with sound reverb and amplification. Although the shape and size of the hole can affect the sound, the difference is so miniscule, it would not be noticeable with the naked ear. With this in mind, it is always the best practice to use a tuner to ensure your kalimba is set to the correct key. Personally, I use a tuner that I downloaded on my phone.

The different designs that are laser engraved on each of our kalimbas have little effect on the sound produced. These designs are simply for aesthetic reasons only and to make learning more fun and appealing for our customers.

Until next tine!
