Have you noticed how when you pluck a tine that it rings for about 5 seconds and fades away slowly? Sometimes you may want the tine to stop ringing after 1-3 seconds and it can be a little frustrating to try and stop them without making your song sound bad.
Our tip to you is to practice using your thumb to softly stop the key from ringing. It can be difficult to get used to, but once you perfect it you can let your tines ring for any amount of time necessary for your music. It may seem like common sense, but many people try to use their thumb nail to stop the tines and end up accidentally plucking the tine again, ruining their song!
Some songs call for shorter notes, aka staccato notes, and this is the best way to perfect those types of songs!
